The Centre for Digital Scholarship has provided digital publication services – in one form or another – for an increasing number of academic journals for nearly two decades. The Centre for Digital Scholarship offers a wide range of services for current and prospective journals and can help journal editorial staff do nearly anything from simple hosting of digital versions of issues to full back-run digitization, to fully-online peer review and journal management.

  • Algorithmic Operations Research

    This journal is no longer publishing. 

    Algorithmic Operations Research published original research papers in the area of operations research and mathematical optimization with an algorithmic focus. The topics of interest included linear programming, integer programming, non-linear programming, combinatorial optimization, semidefinite programming, graph algorithms, approximation algorithms, metaheuristics, online algorithms, randomized algorithms, Optimization algorithms in computational molecular biology, medicine, and all other application areas.

  • Acadiensis

    A journal of regional history devoted to the study of Atlantic Canada. The essential source for reading and research on the region, Acadiensis is one of Canada's leading scholarly journals.

  • Atlantic Geoscience

    Atlantic Geoscience (originally Maritime Sediments, subsequently Maritime Sediments and Atlantic Geology, and, more recently, Atlantic Geology) covers all aspects of the geoscience of Atlantic Canada and related areas. It publishes papers, notes, and discussions on original research and review papers, where appropriate to the regional geoscience.  

  • Antistasis

    Antistasis is a thematic educational journal sponsored by the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick.

  • Border/Lines

    This journal is no longer publishing.

    Border/Lines was a cultural magazine/journal based in Toronto. 41 issues were published from 1984 to 1997.

  • Canadian Journal of Applied Linguistics

    The Canadian Journal of Applied Linguistics is a bilingual scientific and professional journal dealing with the various aspects of applied linguistics.

    The journal is affiliated with The Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics / L'Association canadienne de linguistique appliquée.

  • Geoscience Canada

    Geoscience Canada is the journal of the Geological Association of Canada (GAC).

  • Florilegium

    Florilegium, an annual publication devoted to the study of late Antiquity and the Middle Ages, is the journal of the Canadian Society of Medievalists/Société canadienne des médiévistes. Florilegium has moved to the University of Toronto Press.

  • International Fiction Review

    This journal is no longer publishing.

    A scholarly periodical devoted to international fiction published by the International Fiction Association. The IFR includes original essays on the contemporary fiction of many countries as well as reviews of recently published novels and scholarly works on fiction. It gives authoritative coverage to world fiction.

  • International Journal of Forest Engineering

    Scope: Research papers in all aspects of forest operations, both empirical and theoretical. Most published articles are original research, but review articles are also welcome. An important role of the International Journal of Forest Engineering (IJFE) is to report on existing practices and innovations in forest engineering by scientists and professionals from around the world to promote environmentally sound forestry practices and contribute to sustainable forest management. 

    IJFE’s scope includes operations related to the management, harvesting, processing and transport of forest biomass to industry or other users, but normally excludes industrial manufacturing processes (e.g. sawmilling, pulp and paper manufacturing), bioenergy production, materials strength testing, etc. which occur following transport. Our scope applies to all kinds of forest management (e.g. short and long rotation; uneven-aged and even-aged; agroforestry) associated with the production of forest biomass.
  • The International Hydrographic Review

    The International Hydrographic Review is an international journal publishing original works on all aspects of hydrography and associated subjects, ranging from the latest technical developments to history. It was first published in 1921 and since then has been published regularly.

    In 2009 the IHR became a web-based publication, with two editions a year and an annual printed copy of these two editions distributed to the IHO Member States. Access to digital editions is open to all and free of charge.

  • Journal of New Brunswick Studies / Revue d’études sur le Nouveau-Brunswick

    JNBS/RÉNB is an online, multidisciplinary journal that publishes peer-reviewed research about New Brunswick in English and French. The only such journal of its kind in New Brunswick, JNBS/RÉNB is a forum for ideas and debate about the province and its place in wider Canadian and global contexts. Our aim is to publish thoughtful writing that engages a broad readership in ongoing conversations about the province.

     

  • Journal of Student Writing

    The Journal of Student Writing is a publication of the University of New Brunswick Department of English. Each year, we publish the best student essays written for undergraduate and graduate English classes. The Journal of Student Writing does not accept online submissions; essays are nominated by classroom instructors.

  • Material Culture Review

    Material Culture Review provides a venue for refereed articles and research reports encompassing a range of approaches to interpreting culture through an analysis of people's relationships to their material world. Critical reviews of books, exhibitions, and historic sites, artifact studies and reports on collections encourage the use of material evidence in understanding historical change and continuity.

  • Linguistica Atlantica

    Linguistica Atlantica, the journal of the Atlantic Provinces Linguistic Association (APLA), publishes articles on descriptive and theoretical linguistics. APLA was founded in 1977 to promote the study of languages and linguistics in Eastern Canada and was recognized in 1992 as a national organization by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. The Association hosts an annual conference each fall at a centre of higher education in the area and publishes the papers presented. Topics cover all areas of linguistics.

     

  • Narrative Works

    Narrative Works is an online, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal developed by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Narrative at St.Thomas University. Narrative Works is a venue for disseminating scholarly work related to narrative that does not fit neatly within established disciplines, publishing work by theorists, researchers, and practitioners working on a wide spectrum of topics that cut across conventional academic boundaries.

     

  • MUSICultures

    MUSICultures is the scholarly journal of The Canadian Society for Traditional Music / La Société canadienne pour les traditions musicales. It is a refereed journal that is published annually under the auspices of the Society.

    MUSICultures publishes original articles in English and French on a wide range of topics in ethnomusicology, traditional music research, and popular music studies. The Journal welcomes articles on music in Canadian contexts as well as music in global and transnational contexts. The Journal also publishes reviews of books, and sound and visual recordings.   • R.C.M.P. Security Bulletins

    R.C.M.P. Security Bulletins are a unique, static collection of primary documents digitised for the University of New Brunswick's History Department. No additional publication is scheduled for this title in this location.

    From its inception in 1919-1920 the RCMP (initially the Royal Northwest Mounted Police) security service compiled periodic reports on "subversive" activity in Canada, which were circulated to the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Through use of Canada's Access to Information legislation Gregory S. Kealey and Reg Whitaker acquired copies of the extant Bulletins, which are now held by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. Eight volumes of Bulletins have been published, covering the years 1919 to 1945.

  • Newfoundland & Labrador Studies

    Newfoundland and Labrador Studies was founded in 1985. It is a bi-annual, interdisciplinary journal devoted to publishing original essays, in either English or French, about the society and culture of Newfoundland and Labrador, past and present. Such essays are subject to a peer-review process.

    The journal aims to publish scholarly work from a wide range of disciplines, presented in such a way as to be of interest to a wide readership across the province and elsewhere. In addition, the journal publishes original documents, expertly edited, introduced and annotated. Each issue also contains authoritative reviews (and occasionally review articles) on books with Newfoundland and/or Labrador content.

    Several special theme issues have been published, dealing with archaeology, education, Confederation, the early modern period (two volumes), and the archaeology of Port au Choix.

  • Theatre Research in Canada / Recherches théâtrales au Canada

    Explores theatre in Canada from theoretical and/or historical perspectives, and reviews books dealing with all aspects of Canadian theatre / Les Recherches théâtrales au Canada publient des articles qui explorent les dimensions théoriques et/ou historiques du théâtre au Canada. De plus, on peut aussi y trouver des comptes-rendus de livres traitant de tous aspects du théâtre Canadien.

  • Studies in Canadian Literature

    Studies in Canadian Literature (SCL) is a biannual, bilingual journal devoted to the study of Canadian literature in English and French, and published at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. SCL is peer-reviewed, and welcomes submissions on all aspects of Canadian literature.

  • University of New Brunswick Law Journal

    A refereed publication devoted to the consideration of current legal issues, problems and philosophies through the presentation of articles, research notes, comments, and review articles in wide-ranging areas of law.
