Focus and Scope
The Canadian Journal of Transportation is a refereed scientific journal linked closely with the goals of the Canadian Transportation Research Forum. The journal seeks high quality papers on scientific topics relevant to the transportation sector as well as transportation policy including research from around the world. All methods of analysis and fields applicable to transportation will be considered for the journal, including social, pure and applied science research.

Peer Review Process
Articles submitted for publication in the CJT are refereed anonymously by two individuals knowledgable in the relevant field. The final decision to publish resides with the managing editor in consulation with the editorial board as appropriate.
The CJT attaches considerable importance to providing rapid response to authors.
Publication Frequency
The Canadian Journal of Transportation is published twice annually. Individual papers are added to the current volume as soon as they are ready.
Open Access Policy
The Canadian Journal of Transportation provides open access to all of its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with increased readership and increased citation of an author's work. For more information on this approach, see the Public Knowledge Project, which has designed this system to improve the scholarly and public quality of research, and which freely distributes the journal system as well as other software to support the open access publishing of scholarly resources.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
